A tornado hit Japan,Mo Sunday night hitting a hospital and caused many deaths. It took down many electricity poles and many homes were left without power and also many homes were destroyed. Schools, apartment, and business buildings were hit and completely trashed."By Sunday night, Missouri’s governor, Jay Nixon, had already activated the National Guard and declared a state of emergency."
My thoughts are that this tornado was a very destructive one and very tragic. Now it is going to be a drag trying to get the money back to rebuild all the building/hospitals back and help support families that were hit by the tornado. From a scale form 1-10 people say this was about a 8-9 and I wouldn't doubt it because the pictures are frightening.

Acid Rain
1.Some gases that lead to acid rain are sulfur dioxides and nitrogen oxide
2.The really big cause for acid raid is the pollution from burning coal and the fumes from automobiles.
3.Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide mix together with the water vapors in the air and forms acid rain

Guatemala Mudslides
1. Natural factors that caused mudslides in Guatemala is that because of frequent earthquakes, hurricanes and heavy rains oversaturate Guatemala's mountainous terrain and muddy the soil.
2. Human factors that caused mudslides in Guatemala is that Quote "Trees are cut for firewood and to make room for the crops, and without realizing it ... they've taken away their protection. Where it used to be rain forest becomes an open space for the mud to come right on through." And every year nearly 373 square kilometers of trees are destroyed each year in Guatemala
3.What did they do to help reduce the mudslides? They planted trees and help them create a protection if there was another mudslide. Without Trees there would be more room and would be a faster way for mudslides to make it's way towards the village.

Global Temp Graph
1.What is on the horizontal scale of my graph? The horizontal scale is the years and every tic- mark is 20 years.
2.How many years does it show? It shows 2000 years.
3.What the Vertical scale showing? It is show the temperatures in Celsius.
4.What is the unit?It is measuring it in Celsius.
5.What is the total range shown? The total range is -0.6 degrees Celsius - 0.5 Celsius = 1.1 range.
6. It doesn't say

Human Fossil Fuel Consumption. I think that the world is consuming to much fossil fuel and fossil fuel is polluting the earth more because it takes tons and tons of machines to dig up the fossil. Then use even bigger machines to turn those fossils into fuels. Also it's destroying the earths environment because it breaking up earth. They could of just use different types of fuels, maybe fuel that can be used over and over again like water, solar, or wind power.

New Unit Blog
- 1 - What do you think the global average temperature is? This means the average for everywhere on Earth, day and night, for an entire year-I really don't know.
- 2 - People are often talking about "global warming." How much do you think the average global temperature has increased in the past 100 years? I think it increased by 5% because I've notice we haven't have much snow days. Do you think that this is a lot?- Yes I do
- 3 - What do you think is the hottest the Earth has ever been? Over 9,000! How about the coldest the Earth has ever been? Under 9,000!
- 4 - Are you concerned about "global warming?"Yes, because I'm afraid the polar icecaps are going to melt and going to flood Maine because we are in the far north east.
